Scott Brown stands up for religious liberty

In response to President Obama’s unwavering stance infringing on the conscience rights of believers, Senator Scott Brown has signed on as a co-sponsor of a bill that would allow employers and insurers to limit specific health care coverage, including contraception, based on religious or moral objections. There are thirty-seven senators currently supporting the bill proposed by Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Missouri).
“This issue deals with one of our most fundamental rights as a people–the freedom of religion,” said Sen. Brown who believes President Obama’s so-called compromise does not go far enough. “No one should be forced by government to do something that violates the teachings of their faith.”
We applaud Senator Brown for his support of conscience rights for all people of faith, protections that were in place before ObamaCare was approved two years ago. Our religious liberties and freedoms have been under constant attack by the Obama Administration, and it is critical that people of faith continue to push back against these infringements.
