MFI’s Beckwith speaks at Gordon College on Roe anniversary

January 22rd, 2013, MFI’s Andrew Beckwith spoke to a gathering of the Gordon College community commemorating the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.  Tanja Butler, an art professor at Gordon, is helping to launch a student pro-life group on the campus and this was its first event.  Professor Butler, incidentally, was the artist who created the influential images used in Congressional testimony during the partial-birth abortion hearings almost a decade ago.  Other panelists were Margot Rogers, a young activist who works to use art to communicate a pro-life message, and Teresa Larkin, President of A Woman’s Concern pregnancy resource centers.

The evening began with a memorial prayer of repentance and then a screening of Alveda King’s powerful documentary “Blood Money.”

The panel then spoke about their experiences with the abortion struggle and the state of the current law in MA.
