Every citizen in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has the right to have their voice be heard in the halls of the State House. For too long the average person has become more and more separated from their government, a government once called a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” It should come as no surprised that this apathy from the voter has led to a government that has drifted farther and farther from the morals and values of the Founding Fathers. The “Tea Party” movement across the country is a good example of every day people who got fed up with their representation in Washington joined together to bring about change and get the attention of their elected officials.

Our success as a public policy and education organization hinges on the participation of the electorate; we depend on an army of “citizen lobbyists” to amplify our message on Beacon Hill. We have been blessed for more than 20 years with dedicated and devoted supporters who have driven to Boston for hearings and rallies, made tens of thousands of phone calls to their state representatives and senators, and stuffed their fair-share of envelopes. Without a doubt, high-paid lobbyists have an impact on legislators, but nothing speaks louder than a personal visit from a constituent.

Below you will find a link to our “Grassroots Action Center” where you find the action alerts we need you participate in right now. The number of issues ebbs and flows with the activity on Beacon Hill and Capitol Hill. There are days when there may be only one action item, and there are weeks when there will be multiple items. Please utilize this great tool to send a personal message to your legislator.

On the right, there are numerous resources that you can download to help you participate in your government. Please utilize these downloads to advance our values-based cause.

Thank you for your continued support of Massachusetts Family Institute.
