Biography of Michael Reagan

Michael Reagan

Michael Reagan

Michael is the oldest son of President Ronald Reagan and actress Jane Wyman. A dynamic speaker on public service and the conservative vision his father championed, he has authored many successful books including his best-selling autobiography, “On the Outside Looking In,” and “The Common Sense of An Uncommon Man: The Wit, Wisdom and Eternal Optimism of Ronald Reagan.” He recently penned “Twice Adopted,” a moving book about being adopted first by Reagan and Wyman, the sexual abuse he experienced after their divorce and his second adoption as a child of God.

Taking his charitable work to a new level in 2005, Michael established the Michael Reagan Center for Advocacy and Research in partnership with Arrow Child and Family Ministries. The center operates from a Christian worldview and conducts research in order to effectively advocate for public policies that benefit the safety, stability and well being of children and families. As chairman and president of The Reagan Legacy Foundation, Michael helps spearhead the foundation’s efforts, including awarding scholarships to the sailors, marines and airmen serving onboard the USS Ronald Reagan, supporting programs for children in need of adoption, and educating Americans about Alzheimer’s disease and the search for a cure.

Michael has been married for 35 years to Colleen and they have two children, daughter Ashley and son Cameron. When he is not writing his weekly column, Michael enjoys powerboat racing, an activity that has earned more than $1.5 million for charity.
