Catholic Citizenship to screen Gingrich film

Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich will be in Lexington next Monday evening, July 25, for a private screening of his documentary “Nine Days that Changed the World.” This event is in support of Catholic Citizenship, a sister organization that works to involve Roman Catholics in the public policy debates on Beacon and Capital Hill.

Speaker Gingrich and his wife Callista will be at the screening to deliver remarks and answer questions about the documentary. The “nine days” that the title refers to are the historic nine days that were part of Pope John Paul II’s pilgrimage to Poland in June 1979. His visit created a revolution of conscience that transformed Poland and fundamentally reshaped the spiritual and political landscape of the 20th century.
